Spring Formal
The Premiere program builds upon the skills taught in Junior Cotillion and guides students from theory to practice. In addition to classes about international etiquette, public speaking, and developing conversational skills, we are excited about opportunities like the entertainment event and 5-course meal that prepare students for real-world experiences. The Premiere program is a unique opportunity for students to practice all their Cotillion skills, inside and outside of the classroom.

Class 1
Strengthening Relationships New and Old
The summer kick-off event serves to allow our students to get to know one another and practice their manners in a less formal, more social setting. Between learning how to start a conversation with someone new, keep a conversation going, working with a team, and getting involved in the event, this summer kick-off event is a favorite of our students!

Class 2
Manners Around the World
We cover how some ways to properly greet another in a variety of regions including Japan, Thailand, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and, of course, review how to properly introduce oneself here at home in the States! We also cover etiquette for theater performances and formal receptions in preparation for our cultural theater outing.
-
Class 3
Interview Preparation
We review the full preparation process for interviewing including interview preparation, how to act during the interview, and best practices for interview follow ups. We also do some activities to help the students develop their ability to listen and respond and help them to get out of their comfort zone in terms of one-on-one interaction with another.

Class 4
Public Speaking and Writing Notes for All Occasions
We review and practice our own successful formula for how to speak in public and make an impactful presentation. We also cover how to write different kinds of notes including notes for birthdays, condolences, congratulations, and apologies.

Entertainment Event
Students practice going through a buffet and mingling at a formal reception before attending an entertainment event. This event helps to connect the dots they’ve learned over the years in Cotillion. Between learning to eat finger foods, guided mingling, and practicing being good guests at a community event, this event is one of the highlights of the Premiere season!

Spring Formal
Our Spring formal consists of a 5-course meal where we review the proper way to navigate through the meal and engage in polite conversation. Students and parents are also invited to participate in the Parent Honor Dance at the end of the evening.
