Devon Wellington
Devon’s background as a developmental psychologist working to develop policies for students with special needs and ensuring an equitable learning environment for all has shaped how she approaches teaching Cotillion. Her goal is to ensure that anyone who would like the opportunity to take advantage of this great program is able to do so. Devon has also studied adolescent brain development and uses this to help the students understand the importance of capitalizing on the opportunity to learn Cotillion tools now while their brains are in a formative stage of development to ensure these habits become lifelong assets. Devon also danced from early childhood through college, teaching competition dance teams, and loves helping the students become more confident on the dance floor.

David Wellington
David’s career in cloud technologies has solidified to him the need to ensure we are preparing our kids not only academically but interpersonally. David’s first job out of college is actually a direct result of the things he learned in Cotillion. He was invited to a fundraising gala with a friend and found himself seated at the same table as the CEO of a company to which he had recently applied. Although he was a good 30 years younger than most people at the table, many of whom were high ranking military officials, David remembered his Cotillion manners and employed them throughout the evening, standing when the CEO stood to leave the table to talk to a colleague or her staff, using the proper utensils and table manners. When he went in for an interview at the company the following week the CEO told him she had seen all that she needed to and that the had the job. All because he showed the good interpersonal skills he learned in Cotillion!
